Im running a Asus Maximum Extreme and Im having trouble with the sound. I have hte sound card connected up right. However I cant get any sound other then basic beep alerts thru my headphones. I have iTunes blasting and nothing from my headphones. I open up properties and the computer recognizes that music is playing thru the SPIF. however nothing is coming out my headphones

Any help or advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks, Lyn

Well, have you installed the sound drivers?

Find your product here and make sure you have the latest drivers for your sound card. (Motherboard -> Socket 775 -> Maximus Extreme)

Also, please fill in your system specs via the control panel so that we can better serve you. (:

Solved this issue. Turns out that you do have to install a driver even if its the supreme FX card that comes with the motherboard.
