Ah... You didn't state that you were using lossless WMA.

And in that case, of course your 24bit lossless files will beat regular lossless.

But that is only because they have been produced in 24bit which most music isnt.

There is no such thing as "regular" lossless - a file or any bitrate or bandwidth is either compressed with a lossless codec or it is not. If my source was an 8-bit, 11khz file and I encoded it with FLAC, I still have a lossless copy of my original. Lossless only means that the compressed version is electrically identical to the original source.
