q6600 increases 30C under load

Thread Starter
ok so i stressed with prime95 at 3.4ghz (425 x 8, i idle at 36C but on load it goes up to 66C at 1.40125v with vdroop mod.

one person on the forum mentioned that that cause of the problem was that i only have the heatsink lapped and not the cpu.

any suggestions, if need be i can always pick up another unlapped TRUE 120, but is it really gonna benefit me?

btw, i stressed at 3.6ghz (400x9) at 1.42v, idle was 37-38 load was 67-68.
