I think you would have to hookup the speakers up to a receiver or amp and then the receiver to the computer. I know that works with my surround system but I am not sure if it would work with car speakers. But I don't see any reason it can't as long as you can plug the car speakers into the receiver.

The speaker ohms are different. I believe car audio is 4 ohms and home audio is 8 ohms. They should still work though. Like purdueman stated, run them through a receiver.

Yeah. You will need your car amp and somehow get that amp to get power like from your car battery and then hook up your subs to that amp. The same with your speakers and then a receiver to play your music. I hooked up subs once in my room, but it was through a crappy computer sup (I pulled out and placed the + and - wire on my subs. Worked but was distorted and crappy. So somehow you need to power your amp.

Your subs are going to be 4 or 2 Ohm I would imagine. And your speakers I don't know about those. I just know subs and ohms

There is no difference between speakers labeled as "car speakers" and "house speakers", other than the name brand on them. Typically component speakers(car) have 4ohm coils whereas most home speakers vary from 6 ohm on up, maybe some of the parameters are a little different to accommodate the IB mounting in your car door but that's not really a concern in house. Most home receivers are 4 ohm stable so I don't think using components in house is a problem as long as the cabinet is built to spec and you have a x-over for the set.

you need like a AC/DC converter if i remember right. Yrs ago we use to run old car stereos in the shop. This thing is small like the size of your fist, its been a while so i could be wrong. Check it out tho
