Did my mobo just fry?

Hey guys i have a very wierd problem with my pc...

It was fine in windows... When i tried to open firefox the system locked down. I then proceeded to do a hard reset via PSU since the power switch on case didn't seem to wrok, but to my dismay you here the pc starting up but it doesnt boot up or shows anything!

I did a cmos reset still nothing. The power switch also doesnt work for powering down only to start the initialization but thats it!. Also the case LEDs show the HD activity red and the lightning mark has is dead...

Is this a case of a dead/faulty mobo? I tried on a different PSU but still no change in status.

i don't like the sound of that.
i know from past experience that, when a motherboard OR CPU goes bad, the hd light stays on.

the only thing i can suggest is turn off the computer, and take the cmos battery out for an hour or 2.

one thing did you overclock it by any chance.
if not, its odd for a computer just to die like that.

No overl****ing was done... It was all at stock with a WC on it ... CPU idled at 37... The thing which leads me to believe its mobo related is that when i turn the power on the mobo is cold... No sign of heat. GPU is hot and when i turn fans off i can hear a small hum which i would think is the CPU working?

If you mean from the WC setup then no leak possible :/ only the CPU block is inside and its air tight :/
