That's pretty sweet seeing how it might outperform the GTX 280.

Seeing as the 4870 isn't far off to begin with I have a feeling it's going to whop it back to 2006 where it belongs.

Maybe the 55nm GT200b will give it some competition.

Good thing this is going in a water cooling build.

There will be a 280GTX x2 alsol which I would believe will be the fastest GPU, but w/e I think the 4870 is a way better deal.

aaaaaah, cant wait to see what this beast can do. Only thing i am worried about this is the heat it will generate. Hope ATI comes up with an efficient cooler.

Who cares if there is a 280 GTX x2. Really come on. It will cost so much money it will be rediculas. Making cards that only cater for the top 1% of the market isnt good buisiness sense. The gtx280 is already massivily expensive.

The 4870x2 cooler shown in previous threads looks quite good. Looks like ATI learned from the 3870x2 cooler and added a heatpipe between the two core areas, to spread the heat out better and aid cooling.

There's not gonna be a GTX280GX2 to stop ATI this time around.

Since another card tops 4GPU yes. I believe though that the reason you can't do more is Vista has a limit of 4GPU (just like XP has a limit of 2GPU.)

connect it to another 4870 and you have quad crossfire.
