$1100 Build, help if you have time

Thread Starter
Hey guys, my friend has a $1100 spending limit on a new build, he will game, but doesn't need SLI or crossfire power
he needs everything but a monitor

I'm pretty sure the best CPU would be the E8400
the rest is up to you, if you have time use www.ncix.com to come up with something, I'll rep any attempts obviously

thanks a lot

OK. I used the website that you provided and took a while to look through the site since it was my first time there. I included Vista Home Premium 64bit OEM copy. Total comes to $1,087.39

He's in CA so NE prices don't help but that also helps out abit with the case. Tell your friend to try and follow Pen's advice and get a case with a PSU to save some money but make sure it's 500w or better.

I recommend buying from Directcanada.com They have great prices and free ground shipping on orders over 300 bux. I've ordered many times from them and love their prices. As for a build, I'll put one together a bit later.

Gigabyte EP45-DS3 $130
E8400 $200
G.Skill DDR2-1000 2x2GB $100
VisionTek 4850 $200
Corsair 750W $115
OCZ Vanquisher $30
CoolerMaster CM 690 $80
Seagate 500GB $89

That is around $950 before a few MIR, throw in a few optical drives, an operating system and you will be around your $1100 budget. The OCZ Vanquisher compare really close to the Vendetta2. On a comparison I read the Vendetta2 only cooled a given system 2*c better at an overclocked full load, and if you lap the Vanquisher it will rival the Vendetta2 I bet.

Very true, but at NCIX you can do a price comparison to match DirectCanada's prices.
