I'm reviving this from the dead because I can't find good information on the internet anywhere about this. What I'd like to know:
1. If anyone has good/bad experiences with any of these riser cable/cards (1 negative for me so far)
2. Will the bandwidth be reduced on all of these? (On this ebay page it says 66Mhz
, not 100Mhz). Opinions on whether this will be typical or not? I'll be using with a Radeon HD 5770.I bought this one from a foreign site
for about $17 shipped. Worked on one rig after a BSOD but not on a second rig. It was not sheilded, and the contacts can hardly be called gold-plated. So maybe that matters a bit.
Beside the ebay one above, others I'm considering buying are:Ribbon PCI Express X16 Riser Card from ITX DepotFlexible PCI-E PCI-Express 16x Riser Card / Extender from era electronicdealextreme's version
Any information on these flexible cables would be welcome! It's the last part of a build I'm working on that I need!Edited by otterpopjunkie - 2/19/10 at 4:36pm
