What are good/normal temps

Thread Starter
Stock on a 4200+ what should I expect. With my trusty air purifier running full out on my cpu It runs abot 36C idle. Is that good/bad/average?

How high should I let it get when I overclock it?

I was going to try to cap it off at 60C Load. So about 2.8Ghz.

What temps do you guys get that own this processor or ones close to it.

It depends alot on your ambient of course, but my 4600 idles at 28-29c with stock cooling, and was hitting 50c when loaded. Usually people suggest that you keep your processor under 55c when loaded, but you could get away with 60c.
I just lapped my stock cooler (weird but true) and changed to a higher CFM fan i had laying around, and now i idle at 24c and load at 43c. Hope that helps.
