Ionic Purifier...ooooh look what we have here! - Page 2

Thats a nice rad-box there....I like that..You can kind of box your rad in from front to back, then put some kind of grill on the back to so your air flow would have a straight through shot, the rad would have pure room ambient air going through it, and it would isolate the rad from what little pump heat you would have in the case...Pump in the bottom somewhere and that EK res and you would be set...He its unique, I've not seen any other "Ionic Breeze: rad-box's...We need lots of pic's...This is going to be a cool one...

You can get those quick dis-connects at McMaster-Carr, but I bet they would be cheaper at US Plastics...They are restrictive, but if you can get some over-sized ones, say with 5/8" male to female fittings it wouldn't be to bad...

That looks sweet. You think it would work the same with one of those Sharper Image Ionic Breeze purifier things? We have two of them in the house, and I think they do absolutely nothing. Might save me some money to use it's internal rad for my loop.

EDIT: Er wait, does it just have fans, or is there a radiator inside as well? Maybe I confused that black thing in the last picture as a rad.

LOL...yea I tried looking at the ones on McM-C, but I am concerned that if someone trips over them, it would be nasty... I will be starting this project in a couple of weeks, so look for a log when I do. I will probably put a bent AC Ryan grill on the back to let the air vent out.

I am actually not sure if the newer ones use 4x 120mm fans inside. If they do, just remove the filters and you are set. There is a lot of room inside Oh yea, there is only the fans inside for mine.
