The problem with the ASUS Maximus Formula was that it seemed like you either got a super board. Or a total dud. They had too many RMA's. I was one of the fortunate few that got one of the good ones *knocking on wood*
Like the guy above me said. Next best bet is ASUS Rampage

Nope the Rampage Formula is X48. Only difference really.

BUT, there's a BIOS flash you can do with the Maximus Formula to get the Rampage Formula BIOS onto it for more settings.

i have a question if some RMA a motherboard, then they sell it with out opening it do i get the warrenty?

It would probably be the same warranty terms as buying something refurbished, but you would have to check ASUS's website for details.

Definitely. Open Box at Newegg just means OEM. No extras. Back plate. SATA cables. Just a brand new motherboard. I'm really happy with mine. I had all the cables needed.

Yes. Warranty too. The Open Box just means a brand new motherboard without all the IDE, SATA cables or backplate. It's brand new.
