Should I buy these graphics cards?

Thread Starter

I need to buy preferably 2 graphics card for my old rig, although 1 will do. I live in the UK and was thinking of buying 2 of these

Do you guys reckon it's a good deal (remember I live in the UK) or do you have any others to recommend. My budget is £100
Thanks

no no no......

you would be better off checking the F/S section for a G92 GTS

getting one of these shipped out to us in the UK would cost you just over £100

You've got to pay inport tax - getting that to the UK would be well over £175
Anyway, what's wrong with getting 2 of the 8600s and O/Cing them?

import tax.....? dont think so
i was gonna buy a 3870x2 from the states postage is $40 £20 & thats it..
im sure the import tax will only apply if you declare it

or if you buy retail...

1x GT or GTS Will still outperform 2x 8600s ...

or just add another 20 quid & buy this...

When I bought a graphics card for my laptop when the old one went, it cost me £60 import tax. I may consider that one on eBay, but I heard lots of the reviews of the XFX 8600 saying that it was just as good as an 8800

LOL..... there is no 8600 that can compete with an 8800 ....9600s in SLI produce great performance ..8600s are crap...IMO

but i still believe the 8800 is the best budget GPU (its cheap now thank god) you can buy ...''presently''
the 4850 would be even better if you can find an extra £40

or this....great card for a back up rig

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BFG-8800-GTS-3... /> dZViewItem

i bought my sig ram from the states on another forum ....2gb gskill HZ 6400s in this country were about £150 ...i bought all four sticks for $130 shipped to the UK ...no import tax
love buying from the US

I would actually buy that card if it wasn't for the fact that he doesn't accept PayPal. I will consider some other ones like that, thanks!

Or you could get this 8800GT 512 for £93.99
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...(4718462008965)

That'll play most games maxed out or save a bit more and get a 4870 for 180 quid, or wait for the 9800GTX to come down in price
