You're overclocked too high. Lower your OC, close folding, and restart it.

Thats what I get!

On my 8800GTS I sort of fixed it by lowering the clocks from stock (580) to 510. Heck raising it to 540 caused the same issue.

I think I just have to restart with the lowered clocks again to fix it. Trying it in a few.

I got that same error message when I had my GPU OC'd to something it didn't like. I turned down the clocks, and it was ok then.

Yeah, I've heard that the GPU2 client is extremely picky when it comes to overclocks. Maybe this could be the new ultimate VGA stress test?

Ok, so for some reason my 8800GTS works at reduced clocks.

I will try and copy its F@H core over to my other computer and see if that fixes it.

I tried reducing my 8800 GT clocks from 780 to 630, and from 971 memory to 900, and still has the same problems.

I think I found the issue.

I found this in the log:
"[01:22:13] Downloading core (/~pande/Win32/x86/NVIDIA/G80/Core_11.fah from www.stanford.edu)"

Is there any chance it is trying to download the wrong core? My 8800GTS 640 has no issues, but my GT does (in different computers).

Tried underclocking, using 177.41 and 175.16 drivers, uninstalled and deleted F@H GPU directory (both of them) and reinstalled them.
