few problems with HD4850...help me figure this out please

The performance on these cards is phenomenal as we all know, and I do agree.
However here is an issue I am having:
The cards run any game just fine and the system is 100% stable, except when I play GRID or Crysis, then they crash. Whether overclocked or not. They start out fine, but my PC crashes soon after ( no bsod, screen turns off and sound starts stuttering). I have TT DuOrbs on both cards and they idle in the mid-high 30s and load is in the 50s....what gives?
I just tried running a single card, and it still crashed in the Crysis benchmark tool on loop.
Obviosuly I reinstalled the drivers, installed sp1, bios update, sound update, hotfix, etc..

never had any issues with my sli setup, so now I am stumped with the crossfire deal...I really want to play grid and crysis but can't

any suggestions?
thanks

Is it just with grid and crysis or all games?

Did this happen with the stock coolers?

just with grid and crysis, everything else runs perfect for prolonged gaming sessions even
i didn't give the stock coolers much of a chance when i saw them running@70+...and the fan at 100% was a bit loud lol

If you switched from Nvidia to ATI without reinstalling Windows, did you try reinstalling the games themselves?

You wouldn't think it would matter, but I have seen it happen.

sounds almost like a driver issue but don't quote me on that...try restarting your computer and go into CCC ATI overdrive and run the Test.

If it passes on stock clocks then try to run your ATI tool if you have it to see if theres some kind of artifact and stuff like that.

Afterwards try other games that does not include Crysis and Grid first. If all goes well on those games then try your 2 games you have problems with.

Keep us updated.

Since it only affects two games you will have to wait for at driver hotfix or so I would think. Also make sure your mobo chipset has the newest drivers

oh yeah I definitely updated the mobo chipset drivers to the latest...actually right now I'm running ATI tool (GPU up to 52 degrees after 12 minutes so far), haven't used it in a while since it never worked in Vista for me back then, now it does, go figure...
other games work perfectly.

OK so I ran ATITool for 121 minutes with no errors with the GPU temperature currently at 53 degrees. So it's nothnig overheating, nor is it a bad overclock or anything.
I did reinstall drivers earlier, but no positive improvement.
I guess as was said, got to wait for a new driver hotfix or version or a game patch eh?

Thanks

Downgrading your graphics driver might also make a difference if it's an incompatibility issue there.
