i recently bought this card and have updated the drivers to one of the suggested drivers yet i still have around 40 to 50 fps in games such as counter strike source. im wondering if anyone can help me please

you have a pentium d, your cpu is bottlenecking the card

u need at least a c2d with 2ghz or higher to take advantage of the card's real powe

Means you need a new processor. Check your boards compatibility list to see what's the highest it supports and grab one of the Core 2 Duo's that your board supports.

Your processor is bottlenecking your GPU. Get a C2D, or C2Q.

so there is nothing i can do at the moment to give my fps a little boost, honestly im getting the same fps as i did with my x1650 pro. im thinking of getting a new motherboard then getting quad but that takes time.

Bottlenecking means that your CPU, or any component is holding another component back from it's full potential.
