LOL!

Listen and learn, don't talk so much.

ADDED: Just stick a cheap Pentium Dual Core in with an Artic Freezer 7 on it. Can do that for <$100 and get nice performance. My machine is getting 40-150FPS in Age of Conan with that setup, averaging around 60FPS. (I haven't benched Crysis, but it performs almost flawlessly on High/Very High mixed settings.)

In Simpler terms your 8800GT is waiting for your crawling CPU to give it data to do the graphics part but alas thats not happening quickly enough. think of it this way..... the hare and the tortoise being on the same team.... and a relay at that.... how much time will the hare have to wait before the tortoise can pass him the baton....?

I was just going to say I just got an E7200 and am interested in selling my E6420, it ran at 3.2ghz (400*8) at 1.42vcore 24/7. I would sell it for about $50, it's just over a year old.

Your problem is the game....counter strike and half life usually are set to limit the frames.Open console...and search for fps limit or something like that...

I must confess I did burst out laughing when I read that but then realized everyone can learn .... See your GFX card memory type has nothing to do with your Motherboard... you can even run a Gfx card from ATI with GDDR5 mem type on that board as long as it has a compatible PCI-express Slot. Since The Card is A board in Itself All it needs Is power and a bus(SLOT) to talk to the Rest of the RIG....

Dont worry... mistakes happen... I remember I got ripped on a lot when I asked a stupid Question in my electronics engineering course...
