External drives?

Thread Starter
I am about to purchase a large external drive (im hoping 1.5 tb, but 1tb is alright) and i will partition it and use it as an external drive for pictures and movie files and as a backup. I have had probably around 50% of external drives i have purchased die on me, and these are drives by western digital, seagate, and lacie. what is a good, well made drive? Thanks guys!
Edit-
This will also be used to store tv shows from a tv tuner box. Currently I am looking at this one. Thanks!

Check this out. My friend has one and it works great. Also has a 5yr warranty.

Edit: Weezy, you beat me to it, AND with a better price.

I've had horrible luck with WD MyBook's. Two 500GB died on me 4 and 6 months respectively...
