Fastest q6600?? - Page 2

I found the step between 3-3.2GHz to 3.4GHz and on to be huge with the Vcore. I can be 24/7 folding stable at 3.2GHz at stock Vcore, 1.21, and when I tried to get 3.4GHz, I needed 1.33 Vcore to stay stable, and just for comparison, i need 1.44vcore @ 3.6GHz.

Hey, but if speed is everything then money is no object. Regardless if it will do absolutely nothing for you over a Q6600 @ stock in gaming.

i have recently purchased a q6600 and a q6700 ,
and also bear in mind I am on water ,
(see some of my posts for settings)
theses processors seem to hit a wall the q6600 g0 salcr (which had a fairly go vid of 1.2825v )got to 3.4ghz with a 1.375vcore
that was somewhere in the region of 375 x 9 anything above that seems to require 1.5vcore which to high for me

the Q6700 g0 which has a good vid of 1.2625v got to 3.66ghz at 1.4125v again a tiny increase required lots more volts

and they all ran hot too

so unless you get lucky and get a good low vid on your chip these are the sort of speeds you will see , may be lower if you are on air .

ir higher if you live in siberia
