Who's killing their Q6600 G0?

Thread Starter
Just curious to find out who here runs their main rig at 60+ degrees or 1.55+ vcore (in bios).

I thought it'll be interesting to know just how much we can actually push these chips...
Many play it safe, but with prices of CPUs these days you can afford to wonder

I personally run at 1.55v in bios @ 3.60ghz.

1.425v around 60*C

Safe temps are around 72*C if I remember correctly, so your temps are a non-issue. However, anything above 1.5v and you are pushing it.

Have had mine at 3.6GHz since last September.

I could get it to post 4.0ghz at 1.60v as well. It was not stable, or else I woulda had one helluva fun time benching!

Prime failed after 1 hour on 1.50v (bios) so I decided to set it on 1.55v which has been stable for a while now.

Unfortunately, my mobo's holding me back. It takes 1.4v just to hit 3.2Ghz on a 975x chipset. lol

3.1Ghz is perfectly stable at 1.3v.....

But there's an X48 on the way and then I get to torcher my Q6600 before I replace it

dang....1.55........that's major torture

Your VID must be less than 1.30.

Anything above 1.5v is pushing what in particular? As in shorten the chips life?
Hell even if the chips life has been cut in half I'd still be content with that
