I myself was able to hit 3.0 at stock vcore. Did you get 3.24 at stock volt or did you up it a tiny bit?

What speed do you have your ram? I myself run 1:1 so my ram is at 667mhz. I personally find this very stable even though its not running nearly as fast as it could but i want a speed that i can run 24/7.

just start off simple, reset all the bios settings to default....

I believe your multiplier should be 9, leave that alone for now, in fact leave everything alone for now and just start with a moderate OC on the stock voltage.
Just put it up to about 2.8-3ghz and make sure that the ram is running under 900mhz (I'd say start with a 5-5-5-15 timing)...it should do it no problem without any other settings needing a change. No need to over volt if you don't need to...first just get a baseline...also read up no the forums and see appoximately what settings some folks have. Every CPU is different, but you will get a general idea.

technically you have a very similar CPU to what I got....it should be pretty easy to OC, just don't start too high with a too high of a voltage from the get go.
At those speeds I don't even think you need so much juice for your nb/sb...I'm running 1.38 on nb right now and sb is whatever it was stock....and that's for a 3.6ghz rig.

Nepas has made a very good point here. have you disabled all of the power saving options in the bios settings. You may need to refer to one of the help guides for overclocking the intel boards. These will give you good pointers on what you should be disabling in the bios.

Got my E6600 to 3.3 with only the smallest increase in vcore, rock steady 24/7 and never goes over 50 oC even under stress.

Alright guys,

There is something seriously wrong hardware wise, I will try to post this up before this machine freezes on me again and get an SS up there.

I restored the optomized BIOS defaults(also tried the fail safe), saved and exited, started 4 intances of prime 95 and Bam all 4 core failed within a minute...

Very random things are happening in the OS, from my sound going out, freezing, BSODs, I need to find out what is causing this issue.

RAM, MOBO, CPU...

[img=http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/2825/info1fh4.th.jpg]

Also do I have a G0 stepping or B stepping, i'm seeing two different things here..

Guys I need to solve this problem fast so i can place a newegg order and get my PC up and running...

Lets figure out whats wrong and I will get the best price/performance parts to replace it
