I would guess if RB2 does have more cymbals or pads, that they just might not be used when playing old DLC in it. That or there might be a patch or update straight in the code of RB2 to modify those specific DLC's..although that might be a stretch, considering how many different ones are out there. This is awesome though, I love that you'll be able to play the DLC between the 2 games..too bad guitar hero didnt do that

Personally, I feel the games are pointless. Why not learn to play a real guitar, who knows? You might have the hands of Jimi Hendrix... I mean for the price they charge for these games, you can get a starter guitar.

I just feel these games are overhyped. All I hear is, "AWESOME, you can play Freebird on Expert!" Nothing against the game, just too much hype.

Im so tired of "Just play the real thing". I myself and many others DO play the real thing and still have a BLAST playing RB and GH. Maybe try playing it with a buddy or two over. Its like the Wii, best played when you have someone to play with...

Every note charted? I doubt you could play medium. They'd need at least three pedals on the set, with a minimum of 3 cymbals and 4 pads.

I agree with the double bass though, hearing things that you don't have to play really messes with you. I don't really enjoy playing double bass though, I enjoy having full control of a hi-hat.

Well I meant every note charted for the amount of pads to hit they have. I'm not saying they should chart 7 drum/cymbals worth onto 4 drums. I'm hoping that Rock Revolution will fix this since they will have 6 pads to hit + the bass pedal.

I've had this game for 5 months now and never touched drums before in my life. Never played guitar or anything either. I still made it to the top 75 on psn and I think I'm top 250 or so between xbox and psn. I would like them to actually make it harder(more drums/cymbals+ double bass). Its fun to me trying to learn it but now its getting boring because sometimes you have dlc like perfect drug/ kool thing / hammerhead but most of the time its very simple songs. I want more songs like kool thing/ wgfa/ perfect drug/ hammerhead/ siva.

I never get that argument. Why play COD4 when you can just join the military and play the real thing?? That's stupid, the RB and GH games are great because everyone can sit around and enjoy themselves with a few beers and even people that have never played it before in their lives can pick it up and play. If I have a bunch of friends over to drink we can't exactly spend 10 minutes and learn how to form an actual band and play real instruments. It's like any other game, IT'S A GAME, nobody is playing it because they are trying to learn how to play the real thing

I tried to rep you for that post but I can't so instead you'll get a thumbs up =D

I don't like Guitar Hero or Rock Band because of the character and model design. Personally, as a fan of metal orientated music, I find it extremely distasteful and untrue to form. Coupled with the enormous fanbase (and as such, people who love this game) and my opinion, it makes me loath the game because I think "how can so many people like such a horrible thing?"

However, were someone to write down ten points why they think this game is brilliant, I wouldn't bother to make a 10 point reply outlining why I think it sucks. If someone said that my favourite game sucks, I'd leave them to it. If someone says I suck for using Windows Vista, I leave them too it. So, I didn't expect a warning for "trolling" (like I've ever been capable of that in my life) nor rude disrespectful posts from members of this forum for simply saying my opinion. I'm quite happy with myself and I'm sure enough about my likes and dislikes not to let anyone else bother me.

In future, I'll just report rude posts and refriegn from responding to them, and hold onto my opinion until I have some time to outline it some more.

Finally, that said about Guitar Hero and Rock Band, I can't stand the character design, but the gameplay is spot on. IThey're challenging and the difficulty levels are evenly paced to give a lot of replay value. Yes, I have played them. Guitar Hero 3 was the more enjoyable of the two.
