But dropping in to a pro-<insert-any-topic-here> thread and posting a one sentence anti-<topic> post with no reasons given is just low-level trolling, intended or not. That does elicit, shall we say, strong negative feedback from me.
I tried to rep you for that post but I can't so instead you'll get a thumbs up =D
I don't like Guitar Hero or Rock Band because of the character and model design. Personally, as a fan of metal orientated music, I find it extremely distasteful and untrue to form. Coupled with the enormous fanbase (and as such, people who love this game) and my opinion, it makes me loath the game because I think "how can so many people like such a horrible thing?"
However, were someone to write down ten points why they think this game is brilliant, I wouldn't bother to make a 10 point reply outlining why I think it sucks. If someone said that my favourite game sucks, I'd leave them to it. If someone says I suck for using Windows Vista, I leave them too it. So, I didn't expect a warning for "trolling" (like I've ever been capable of that in my life) nor rude disrespectful posts from members of this forum for simply saying my opinion. I'm quite happy with myself and I'm sure enough about my likes and dislikes not to let anyone else bother me.
In future, I'll just report rude posts and refriegn from responding to them, and hold onto my opinion until I have some time to outline it some more.
Finally, that said about Guitar Hero and Rock Band, I can't stand the character design, but the gameplay is spot on. IThey're challenging and the difficulty levels are evenly paced to give a lot of replay value. Yes, I have played them. Guitar Hero 3 was the more enjoyable of the two.Edited by Shin2k35 - 6/30/08 at 7:19pm
