Thread Starter
On my MSI K9A2 Platinum I have a ATX connector on my MB to the left of the NB. I had it plugged in but i did some cable management last night and did not plug a molex into it there was not enough length. Now i have no clue what that plug is for anyone else? I am having problems now after taking everything apart i am Freezing up a lot.

Are you referring to a square 4 pin power connector?
If so, without it you'll likely have stability issues when OCing.
Extensions are available.

It provides extra power to the pci-e slots. You definately need to plug it in, an extension should only cost you a couple of $.

ya extensions are cheap you need it for sure if it just put power to the pci-e slot it would not start the vid card sounds like extra cpu ram and northbridge power that kind of stuff

Ya i found some info on it. It is for the PCI-E slots but i only have one Video card so it should not matter. My rig is just funny it just wanted a few days to get better it seems to be fine now?
