Would it be worth getting an evga 790i over my commando?

Hi,
A guy I know is selling his evga 790i ultra for $200 which seems like a pretty good deal if you ask me. well anyway I would have to upgrade to DDR3 then...but would there be much in the way of a performance gain? I did want to pick up another 9800gtx pretty soon so I was planning on upgrading my motherboard anyway. My other choice was a 780i which wouldn't require me getting ddr3. any thoughts? Thanks

Having not owned a 790i, I can't compare, but already owning a 780i, I can say the 7 series nforce motherboards kick arse, so eitherway you're going to end up with some serious kit.

It'll boil down to whether you have the cash for your upgrades, and then whether you can justify the DDR3

(not that there's anything wrong with DDR3, it's just expensive.)
