A general question about a build

Thread Starter
So I like many other people on OC.net am going to build a new rig, since mine is totally outdated (understatement) I want to be confident in it.

Hey, your current rig is looking better than mine. Give us some details on what you want your new rig to do. (And a rough budget always helps).

And let me be the first to say a Intel Allendale build will probably be cheaper and faster

Couple questions:
1) purpose of the rig (gaming, 3D rendering, general office use)?; 2) budget?; 3) any brand preference? 4) which parts do you need? Tower with components only, or also monitor/mouse/keyboard/speakers?

It's funny that you say that before he's even posted info on what he wants help with. Maybe he already has that in mind .

Someone was going to do it

And no matter what a sub $100 E2xxx will perform at least as good as any X2 chip, and a $75 p35 mb will clock as good as any amd mb.

I love my X2 3600+ but am replacing it with a E2180

Given that this thread is in the AMD section... I doubt it

Let's wait for him now.. I think we have asked enough questions
