Did I lose this one? How do I change my networks settings using this smp client?

Close the client with Ctrl-C, wait 10 minutes, restart, and hope the WU is still there. That's all I can give you.

Maybe this can give you more ideas though.

Thanks fate, your information took me to a place where I found this...

Couldn't send HTTP request to server (wininet)

The most common cause of this message is when the fah client configuration for "Use IE Settings" is set to yes. Prior to when Internet Explorer v7 was released, a yes setting was not an issue, but Microsoft released security patches to its operating systems and browsers that now cause a connnection error.

* In the console client, run with the -configonly switch, and change the setting to No. For more detailed instructions, see the entry on how to Reconfigure the Console client.
* In the GUI client, right click on the FAH tool tray icon and select configure. Select the Connection Tab. Uncheck the box for Use IE Settings. Also uncheck the box for Proxy, unless you are specifically using a proxy connection. Click OK. Right click the icon again and select Quit. Wait 2 minutes for the client to shut down, and then start it again using the shortcut in the Startup folder under Start/Programs. For more detailed instructions, see the entry on how to Reconfigure the GUI client.
I'm going to try this thanks again +rep

Yea, the IE setting is the main culprit when it comes to not being able to send WUs.

Last I heard Stanford was removing it from future clients...

I think I might just install a newer client because I can't figure this config stuff out.

Lol, it's in just about every client there is. Just say "No" to the IE settings and proxy questions. Should be good to go.

Well I installed the new client and it didn't ask for the ei settings so I think we are good now. Unfortunately I lost that WU on the old client I think. I was also somehow able to get two smp clients running by accident. Have to research that some more. I know there is a thread around here about that topic. Thanks for the help
