Apogee GT horizontal or vertical for Quad?

Thread Starter
I could swear I read somewhere that some people found it better to mount the Apogee GT vertically (reference to how the fittings line up) when using a Quad. I KNOW some people are forced to because of clearance issues with their motherboard but is there any truth to the better temps theory?

As far as I know, no.

I also heard to mount it horizontally instead of vertically. Confusion is among us.

you want the flow path to pass the dual dies evenly
so you want the flow to go betweem them.

when mounted fitting horizontally, you cool the dies
evenly as the flow moves from left to right, and
most mobos have the dies going up and down. so it starts
with both dies at once

when mounted fitting vertically, you hit one die first then
the other.

real temp difference? not really, but its worth a try
