Yeah I gave NVIDIA allot of my money in the last 1 year. 2 x eVGA 8800GT SSC total price $650.00 and then 2 x eVGA 9800GTX SSC total price $750.00 so the grand total of $1400.00 and I just sold all 4 cards for total of $750.00 almost in the hole 50%. But I get my first Ati card tomorrow and NO I am no fan boy, just very tired of Nvidia's GREED

That is what they will probably do. It wouldn't be smart to block out a huge market share like that. Even with both 10 and 10.1 the ATI cards will most likely perform better thanks to 10.1's optimizations.

Valve's hardware survey indicates that ~10% of their gamers are using DirectX10 or direct X 9.5 (nvidia). They'd be wise to turn it on.

True, nvidia neglected DirectX 10 compliance with the 8 series and will continue to do so. Nvidia won't release a directX 10 card. That is not a typo.

Good move by AMD/ATI. Get the support of game developers will boost sales for sure.

Nvidia not moving to DX10.1 which we all know is easier to develop for IMO is silly. IS Nvidia being stubborn ?. I think Nvidia are only hurting themselves by remaining DX10 only.

And let's be honest here. None of blizzards games are graphically intense. I think DX10 would suit them just fine. Though I definitely agree with their move to support DX10.1 as well because it moves the industry forward.

Dear oh dear. Dx10.1 is a superset to Dx10. This means if you support Dx10.1 then you also support Dx10. If a card does not have the nessecary hardware compliance (ie Nvidia cards) to run the Dx10.1 stuff, then it will simply run the game in Dx10 mode.
