Yep most Yankees have no idea how nice we have it! The current complant of most of my fellow yanks is the price of gas (petrol). Yet they have no clue that we are now paying per liter the same that the central europeans were paying over ten years ago. And they make far less money than we do.

We are phat (and fat) happy cats over here and most of us dont even know it. It makes me sick that we dont enjoy what we have, most of us have alot more than most of the world. Our food/housing/fuel all come very cheap compared to our income when you look at it on a world wide scale. Which leaves us alot more spending money than most of the world.

Guys enjoy what you have, Dream about what you want, and don't complain about what you get.

A 4850 would be only a minor increase in performance, as it's only just better than the 9800GTX which is only just better than the 8800GTS 512MB, which is only just better than the 8800GTS 640MB.

I would expect a 15-20% gain, but at that price I would stay away.

A 4870 would be a more logical choice, however it is rather expensive.

i say wait it out a few weeks or months and look for a deal on one of those. your getting by and prices will come down at some point. but i agree either one 4850 with plans to get another later or a 4870.
