I had the Maximus Formula and that board had my CPU temps over 15C hotter than any other board I used.

Could you determine why? Air or WC... My MB and NB temps are fine.

You can't say a con with the DFI is the fact that it's green. By the sounds of it you just bought a silicon rainbow.

DFI would get my vote.

Sorry to thread hijack but I didn't feel the need to start my own thread for this simple question. Would it be worth my time and money to upgrade to a Gigabyte X48-DQ6 in order to have PCI-E 2.0 instead of only 1.0 on my current board? I plan on buying a 4870 and probably a 4870x2 after that. I'm just finding it hard to justify spending $200+ just to get some extra bandwidth, maybe somebody can help me out in making my decision

Im really hating Newegg right now. I ordered the board at 10:30AM with rush processing, yet it did not ship out the same day I won't even be able to test it since I'm shipping my GPU today and the 4870 I ordered was backordered

How's the new board running for you? The Q6600 at 4GHz seems like a decent OC .

I'm thinking about picking this board up for my new build. How are you liking it? Also, how many sata cables does it ship with?
