1680x1050.

On my new rig, before the new ATI cards came out, I was planning on getting a 8800GTS for it... I would be playing on that resolution, and I knew an 8800GTS would be more than enough for it. It sure is a stepup from what I'm running right now.

I would spend the money on the monitor.

i heard DX10.1 is an addition for developers to help them code or something
& wont benefit gamers at all...

but that's not gospel......im sure that's what i read

gotta go nvidia if you have an sli board the benching results of the 4800s (single card) are not showing that much of an improvement over the G92 at standard specs

2X 8800GTS will destroy any single ATI card ....these will still give the R700 a run when its released ...IMO

& its cheap

Go with the 8800 and save your money for games and other components. Unless you want to max out Crysis, the 8800 will be perfect for you.

Well, it's like this. The 8800GTS 512MB is a great card. The 9800GTX is better and they both cost about the same right now. The 4850 is even better and NE has one for $140 after MIR. Then in 2 months you can buy the other's once the $ for your MIR comes back.

I'd recommend the HD 4850. You can pick one up for around $160 after rebate.
