I guess I could have pieced one together, as that's the general consensus here. But I opted for the "easy road" I guess.

The only thing weird about it that I can tell is the 5gb memory - most I was researching was either 2,3 or 4. This was the only 5 that I found. Didn't think it was a bad thing. And for the graphics card, 95% of the computers I researched had integrated. Figured this card would put me in a better place until I could afford an upgrade.

Processor I was impressed with after reading the stats... can't really afford the Q at this point.
Im sure it will be great once you upgrade your graphics card... i wouldn't expect much from the 1 you've got in it at the moment. Bang an 8800GT/8800GTS/HD4850 in it and you'll be away

I second that, your current build will probably hit the 6K range.

Yeah, I'm glad I stuck with HP... my last desktop has been running strong for 5 years. I did have a problem (that was known) with the HDD, but they took care of it (twice) out of warranty.

Shipped them overnight to me, ready to go.

I had an ACER laptop through work a while back, it was a dog.

As far as prebuilt computers, my money's with HP for desktops and Dell for laptops.

Stay away from Acer (computers and monitors).

And of course, a AGP card won't work with PCI.
They make AM2+ boards with AGP that have 5+ RAM slots?

Father Christmas what have you done!
