Need to sell one (PS3 or Xbox360) my dilema

Thread Starter
Well, I don't play much games anymore, I'm close to a married man in my early 30's and I have lots of gadgets lying around the house that I need to get rid of.

First of all, I don't care about blu-ray movies... seriously I could care less. However I do have a HDTV and I enjoy it greatly but I have both a Xbox360 Elite and a 80 gig PS3 here, along with my system in my sig that I play Gears on occasionally.

I will admit that I played my first pc game (COD4) on my pc and I enjoyed it. Honestly it looks better than on the xbox360, along with the keyboard and mouse I had a great time. From that point on I went out and bought Gears and Assasins Creed for PC.

Now, what I want to do is simple, I want to save money, selling either the PS3 or 360 and put that money into...

A. Getting a better case for my pc
B. Possibly a better monitor (22 inch will work)
C. Hopefully better video card.

So I don't plan to save the money but I want to conserve space, at my age my career is much more important to me now and I do game as much which is understandable.

But for a man that doesn't care about hi-def movies it wouldn't make sense to keep the ps3, especially when all the games look better on the 360.

But...

When a cheap 7600GT/19inch monitor can kick the 360's ass and make games look better (COD4, Assasin's Creed) then it doesn't make sense keeping the 360 either?

Confusing....

£100 for PS3 from me!

Well..
i was gona say keep PS3 for blueray...thats ruled old...
keep 360 for games...BUT same games come out on PC and as you said, a good PC makes games look and run better!

the only reason i would get the 80gb PS3 is for blueray (when it actualy catches on) and PS2 backward playing...with MIBI MGS4!...lol
does PS1 games play on PS3?....

as i cani get a hold of a 60 or 80 gb PS3 in the shops....
how much would yo be looking for it?
how old is it?

from sound of your typing...lol...i am guesing your on the verge of selling both!
gd luck!

Since you've got an HDTV, I say keep the PS3 not only for blu-ray but other media. It's superior to the 360 in that regard. And since you buy 360 games for the PC, what's the point of keeping the 360? And if you dont use media, might as well ditch them both. Mo' money.

Yep, sell the 360. You seem to buy the 360 games for your PC anyways. So just get rid of it.

Keep the PS3 for PS3 exclusive games (Play MGS4 and tell me the 360 looks better both look equally as good tbh)

But the fact is that most/all big hits on the 360 get ported over to the PC (Mass Effect, GoW, COD4, Assassins Creed ecT) Sure some are not exclusive but the fact remains that most popular 360 games get ported. So keep the PC for pc/360 games and keep the PS3 for high def movies and exclusive games....even though you might not want high def movies

Sell the 360
the lineup of PS3 games is becoming amazing, and its a lot better as a home media device
most importantly, most "exclusive" 360 titles end up coming to PC and they end up looking much better too.

Now call me when games like MGS4 and Grand Turismo 5 come to PC.

Let me know if you do decide to let go of the 360. I might be interested.
Geez, this is a really tough decision. Personally, I'd sell the 360 because the PS3 will always be able to double as a competent, future-proof Blu-Ray player. I understand you won't be viewing movies on it much, but it's always nice to have that option. I agree games are nicer on the 360 (at least the ones I've played), but the PS3 just seems more flexible and worthwhile.

On another note, how much space can these things possibly take up?
