How to RMA DigitalCamera please help

hi all,
I really not sure which section to post this but please help if u know something

I have a digital camera "Olympus X-815"
which is suppose to be samething as FE-270

I can't seen to find which country it is from and I bought it used so I don't have any documentations, but eariler my wife accidently drop it and broke it,
I'm wondering if anyone know what I can do

I live in toronto canada,

If you have no documentation or proof of purchase, you can't return it to the manufacturer.
Try to contact the shop you bought it from first, and see what they can do.

ahh, ic, so it is not like computer parts where u have serial number to determine if it's still in warranty,
I guess the best thing i can do is to call the repair centre (there is one here in toronto appearly) to see hwo much it would cost to fix it am I right

HERE is the Olympus warranty info. It says that you need proof of purchase. It also says that the warranty does not cover "impact".

WRONG- My Father accidentally dropped his Canon compact (these things just happen.. >.<) and damaged the zoom mechanism- rendering the camera useless (Wouldn't extend out enough to work at all) sent it to Canon- Out of warranty- and had it serviced for a modest fee. Not that much.


I also had a Sony Sensor die- out of warranty- and they replaced it free.

Call Olympus- they should fix it cheaply. If not- well- don't go with olympus again. heh
