selling (G80) what now?

Thread Starter
As stated I am selling my 8800GTS 320MB for about 100 locally...what should I get next? trying to spend less than 200 bucks. Would like something better than the G80 of course, maybe something cooler since its summer? 9800GTX is an option, because i just saw in the deal section, an XFX 98gtx for under 200 bucks. Also in the sales section people are selling there 8800GTS (G92) for around 160 bucks. New 8800GTs are around the same price. Ahhh so many options.

For those who will ask, I do game but not hard (crysis), and would like to have a good card and not have a HUGE amount of heat since the G80 idles around 55C in my room. I know your probably thinking, its a video card, its supposed to get hot, but with new technology IF the option is available for cooler cards, please recommend it to me. But overall i just want a nice performing card that is in the under $200 price range. THANKS!!!

i would recommend the 4850 but it can produce a lot of heat unless you put fan to 100% speed. the 9800GTX will run cooler but the 4850 is faster

Get the HD 4850 as the heat problem goes away after you increase fan form 20% which i really low. Also as of not its cheaper then 9800GTX+ and it has same performance but since driver for Ati increase performance on every update HD 4850 will end up faster.

If I got a 4850 I'd probably get the visiontek because it comes with mass effect. Most people say His is the best though.

I would go w/ the 4850. You can pick one up for around $160 after rebate. It is a very nice card.
