Crossfire board similiar to the 750i FTW.

Thread Starter
I need a good Crossfire board that can OC a Q6600 high. I mean 3.6-4.0 high.
I would also like it to be under $200 if possible. That Maximus Formula is a little to much for me at the moment with my new water cooling setup and 4870's coming soon.

Thanks-

I haven't seen anybody ever use that board...lol.

Is it just a good OC'er? Or is it good for all purposes? Eh.. the name throws me off...lol.
Sorry, I'm to to the Xfire motherboards.

The Asus P5E. I just picked one up for $200. Its X38 and overclocks like a fiend. Its a rebadged maximus formula with a few less toys.

If you are planning crossfire, then you need either an X38 or X48 board. The P45 chipset boards do not run crossfire cards at 16x16x

Nah it's a good OC'er and it's a P45 crossfire board, don't let the x8 and x8 throw you off, that's at PCI-E 2.0 so you have TONS of PCI-E Bandwidth.

Biostar is famous for great budget overclocking motherboards, they started off with AMD boards and have branched out to make some great Intel boards too.

I second that. The P5E is full of win.

That depends on the CPU you get.

Honestly, I don't even know what I'm doing. I'm having such a hard time deciding either on another 8800GT or a 4870x2, or maybe a 3870x2, or 4850's in Xfire. I honestly need a new motherboard for higher clocks, I don't want the GPU's though because it's kind of a pain in the ass to water cool 2 GPU's. Since I would maybe need a second radiator. So, right now.. I'm deciding on my pump for my new WC'ing setup, and a new GPU or another GPU, since I have a 24" Monitor @ 1920x1200. And I also need a new mobo for higher clocks on the Q6600 so my 8800GT's in SLI, or w/e I get won't Bottleneck so much.
