Gotta say i must be one of the lucky ones because our bb is spot on 4mb and get 4mb no slow down or anything (although i have been hit by there limit **** thing)but i gotta say thsat there tv service is a bit dire tbh, not enough hd channels and the response time of the remote is awful, but other than that its been pretty solid. Oh and there upgerading everyone on 4mb to 10 mb for free which is bonus

I'm on virgin media and i'm a heavy downloader.
Virgins policy is sumed up like this:

Why should granny smith have to check her emails at anything other than 2mbps
for 3 mins out of the day..

Yet people who download alot suffer from capped speeds, from 4pm till 12am
i for one suffer from being capped and i'm on the 20mb package..
were talking capped dl speeds of 256kbps...

I understand there point of view but that doesn't mean i have to agree with it.
I pay £80+ a month on their services and i don't see why i don't get what i pay for.
Virgin own a monopoly with the cable lines in the UK which is a joke.

Yes i'm quite pissed about it lol

I've got 20Mb from Virgin if you don't hammer downloads, you won't get capped. In the begining I was getting capped even when I hadn't been downloading.

It's a crappy deal, but for me its not as bad as it was.

LOL! They've basically announced that they are openly opposed to net neutrality and fully support traffic shaping, capping, etc... There was a huge thread on OCN about it, maybe someone can find it.
