Better OC on Visiontek 4850?

It has been suggested that Visiontek uses a lower voltage on their GPUs! And this may limit the OC potional of the card, Is this true? It was also suggested that this lower voltage is software/firmware change not physical change... Is that true?

I did the fan speed fix (using the profile .xml file) And noticed that in my xml profile file there was a setting for voltage...

I wonder if I can up that voltage to get a better overclock, has anyone played with that? What kind of incerments would you suggest moving the voltage to test?

A lot of people on Xtremesystems say that it is limited by the stock Voltsge Visiontek set. Quite a few people flashed their BIOS with the MSI BIOS (higher stock volts) and are running stable at 725/1100.

That is a very interesting find actually...I'm getting my Visiontek 4850 tomorrow if damned UPS comes on time

But if I flash the BIOS then I think my lifetime warrenty is shoot... Not exactly what I am wanting to do... I was wondering if I could use the profile to do this since it appears that the profile is setting some voltage

About 690-700ish on core and about 1100 on memory... This is just what I have seen so far...

Mine hit around 670/1050-1070 before artifacting (a lot) in ATITool. This is from trying 3 cards. All idled anywere from 45c to 55c (current card idles at 45c at 45% fan speed).
