Moto Q9C vs Razr v3

Thread Starter
Looks like my contract is ending soon, and I have an option to either keep my 2 year old Razr, or get a new phone.

I had handled the Q9C, and it seems really nice, and is $99.

The new Razr is $150, so its pretty much out of the question.

Any one have any thoughts on which would be better for a techie / student / gadget guy?

Go with the Q9C. Windows mobile can have a lot more work done to it than the lousy Razr v3. I had 3 Razr crap out on me before the finally warranty replaced it with a Samsung [tmobile] that I loved until I sold it. my coworker has the Q9C, it's not a bad phone for 99$. but if your like slender phones and want a slender phone, i can't argue against it. i just hate the build quality of razrs, motorola jusst shat them out. in fact, i despise all motorola products.

But if I had to suggest anything from verison, I'd say the LG Dare

You don't even need to get the data packages. the phone without the internet/email is still an awesome phone with a great GUI. Just avoid the Lg voyager and samsung glide AT ALL COST.

Yeah, another vote here to ditch Motorola. I've had nothing but bad experiences with them. That said, I'd probably go with the Q9C if I had to.

Dude, I LOVE my LG Voyager. You must never have even seen one if you are saying to avoid it at all costs.

This phone rocks. The touch screen is beautiful and very intuitive. It plays back incredibly crisp sound over even a cheap set of stereo Bluetooth headphones. I have it loaded up with about 3GB of music right now. The turn-by-turn Navigation system is dead-on. (Shame I already have GPS in all of my vehicles) The video camera kinda sucks, (but what video camera in a phone doesn't?) but the camera takes as good of pictures as my 5 Megapixel camera, and watching live TV on it is an awesome time-killer when waiting for virus scans to finish up at work!

Not to mention the 3G network is retardedly fast. The browser can load the OCN home page in about 15-20 seconds. It is so cool being able to use the touch screen to navigate the web browser. I just got it for father's day and I have already found custom user-made homepages and GUIs that I have been playing with for the past two days.

I still kind of wish I didn't have so many accounts wrapped up with Verizon. If I were looking for a new carrier, I would have gotten the new iPhone 3G instead. It will undoubtedly destroy all others when it is released.

Thanks for the responses.

Great, now a new temptation, pickup the Q9C, or wait for the possible rumored Q10 coming out in a few months?
