Best ATI companies? - Page 3

I own a Sapphire HD3850 currently, however I have to give props to VisionTek. I remember back in the day I had one of those GeForce 2 MX400 PCI cards from VisionTek. A company that has stood the test of time like that, even after platform changes, definitely gets the big vote in my book.

  1. VisionTek - Lifetime Warranty. good tech
  2. HIS - Awesome custom cooling. good tech
  3. Diamond - Just an average manufacture. idk about tech
  4. PowerColor - Decent cards, run hotter than rest imo. idk about tech
  5. Sapphire - OK cards I hear they tend to have bad tech support

I myself have just ordered a VisionTek 4850. I'm a bit dissappointed though, called them and asked if I could replace heatsink, and still have a warranty - Nope. I did get to talk to somebody though

I've owned Visiontek cards before, so I went with a pair of 3870s for CF. But I found the Saphire 3870 OCs a lot better. My highest OC on the Visiontek is 860/1250. The Saphire I just used in a build got 871/1350! It it also a single slot card and performs very well. SO I would recommend the Saphire over Visiontek.

Ive had two sapphire products and my current card is diamond. I think they are both good, but I havent had any problems with Diamond. I did however have to return a sapphire card, but the process was pretty smooth.
