Well I will be getting my battery in the mail next week I believe, and I've been reading up on how to update it but I would really like for someone to set out some step by step instructions on how to update it just so I don't screw it up I have the Crisis Core slim running umm.. 3.95 I think it is.

+Rep for anyone that can help

JUst read through this thread, its an easy process. Just put the magic mem stick in, put in the battery and it will boot up and load the CFW and then it reboots. Just follow the on screen prompts.

Yeah, to be honest, I can't make it any easier, lol.

These easy installers take most of the leg work out of it

Definitely come here and ask us if you have any issues

It looks more scary than it really is, I promise

I haven't messed with aim yet, but the emulators in general are easy to set up.

If you're looking for ported games, there is no where better to start than getting doom to play on your psp, it's awesome.
I messed around with MAME4all last night and I got a few games going but not all the games were perfect. MAME4all comes with a working game list.

Today Im going to try some psp games but I need to install Autopopstation4 to convert them to iso first.

If the newest firmware is already embedded with the psx emulator do you still need the SCPH1001.BIN and if so where do you put it?

Any advice will be helpful on this.

I may try doom but I really had my heart set on the Hexen 2 port but it seems iffy on a slim but maybe it will work with Time Machine.

I havent tried Time Machine yet either.

When I'm running a PSX game from my fat psp (don't know if the folders are different for slims), I have a folder for the game and place it in the same place as the update programs. So the folder now has like 6 folders, 5 being updaters and such, and one folder for the game. There's only one file in the PSX game's folder and it shows up alongside all the other homebrews that are already on the stick.

I do not use anything else at all. I have FF7 disk 1, Bushido Blade 2 and Rally Cross all on my SLIM and they run with nothing extra.

Strange. My ff7 disc 1 will not load any fmv's unless I use popsloader, the built in emulation in 401 M33 just does not work for me.

No problems with Castlevania. This emulator runs better than the one on my pc.
