[Complete] Velocity **56K no** - Page 6

Sorry everyone. My system is no where near complete but I was sitting there and I started thinking why not put my system in my new case and take that one to my LAN party and that me and my friends are hosting. Since I wouldn't have touched this case till the end of this year when the Nehalem comes out or sooner, I started stripping down my Ginsu and Started putting everything in my Velocity. Also took the 2x120mm fans I had in my window and threw them on top of this case.

Looks good with all your gear in. Nehalem will possibly be late anyway (particularly for low-end cores) and potentially prohibitively expensive.
I couldn't have a cse like that lying around not being able to use it either.

Agreed whole-heartedly.

Now clean up the wiring and those dusty fans so they can all be sexy like the case man! Good gah!

WOW! Never thought I could do it with this case. At first glance, the cables were to short and such, but with 15 minutes of time and some clips and zip ties that came with the case, it looks beautiful. Now when I go to LAN parties, everyone can be oooo...ahhh...pretty. I only ran into one problem when doing this. I finished the rewiring and turns out the CMOS battery was low. Looked all around and was surprised that I had no more. Had to run to the store and grab one.

That wiring looks much better, lol. Have you looked at my IDE guide? Might help blend in that otherwise sore thumb of a IDE cable you have

You should really spend $20 for a new optical SATA, i can't bring myself to use IDE for anything. Quick question, do you have your memory in the 3 & 4 slots on purpose? Why arent they in 1 & 3 or 2 & 4?

Also, might I suggest putting the IDE cable on top of the other cables, so they are behind the IDE cable?

Not going to spend the money on things I wont need in a few months. Yes they memory is in those slots for dual channel. It's an MSI board and yea it's weird.

Also, just got back from visiting my friend in NY for a week and I brought my computer. I set it up and I got 3 "Holy ****" from his grandma, mother, and his friend.

One more thing. While I was up there, I managed to buy a 22" Sceptre monitor for $60 off him. It may be a crappy LCD compared to my ASUS 24', but hey, its another widescreen and it works.

I'd love to see a Trading Spaces episode where one of the designers did the whole room in sleeping bags.. THAT WOULD ROCK!!!
haha lol. That was hilarious

back on topic: looks good to me, can't wait to see the finished product.
