[INQ]Nvidia "opens can of whoop-ass" on itself

The article is bias but I wonder how many bad parts they sent out and what the final cost to replace them is going to be . This could be very bad for Nvidia. http://www.theinquirer.net/gb/inquir...oop-ass-itself .

Yeah that's pretty biased. nVidia isn't exactly going out of business as the reporter's attitude leads to believe.

it has some truth in it, but as you said the article seems to have a motive to discourage people from taking nVidia's business.

that being said, i also believe the chip failures in question affect more parts than have been discovered.

All these news articles lean one way or the other. Like you placing things in quotation marks in the thread title. Before opening the thread I knew it was bias against Nivida.

i wonder what nVidia will do to retain the top position. they'd better make the best damn graphics card and make it cheaper than ATI.

oh yeah, and no failures.

I just copied the title directly from the article, I didn't add them.

Wow, this is almost the exactly the opposite of last year where everyone was bashing the HD 2900XT... There's no way that its as bad as the article makes it seem though, Nvidia sold loads of 8800gt's and gts 512's.

Thank god Intel is entering the graphics race? I don't want to see ATI get ****y and charge $800 for a GPU...

I dunno what to think.... Nvidia may just die out, you never know, they really don't have a lot of options still open to them...

And just think of how big Matrox and 3DFX used to be..... now they're dead.

Didn't nvidia sell the 8800GT's at a loss though?

I don't remember reading many Inq articles that didn't have a huge bias against Nvidia. However, if you look past the bias, there's nothing outright false about the article.

And in the same way, AMD isn't nearly as bad off as articles claim either. But for some reason it seems to be more acceptable to talk about AMD failing or going out of business than anyone else. I guess I will never fully understand this.

Yeah I know =D WAsn't really picking at you. I wasn't really picking! Just commenting on what someone said about bias.

Haha. Nvidia and ATI are sat on millions. There's not a snowballs chance in hell either of them are going out of business.

Fanboyism.
