Hmmm....distilled water does not conduct electricity, so yeah, should be good if you give it awhile to dry.

Dunno though.
i spilled cola on my controller and would like a new one while you deal the broken one?

HIGHLY unlikely.

Good luck getting that damn controller open.

I tried all night last night and couldn't get it open.

I would soak it in distilled water, just be sure to blow dry it and let it dry for a day or so before restoring power.

Honestly as long as its totally dried out before you plug it back in you could put it in the washing machine and it would probably still work. I'm not saying throw it in the washer but it'd probably still work. I've left my mp3 player in my pocket when I did laundry like 3 different times and its still kickin. I would think if an mp3/mp4 player still worked after a wash a controller will be fine. Just don't turn it on wet cuz thats when the damage would happen.

return it and just say the wirless wont work, and they will give you a new one.
there not going to take it out of the plastic and test it out infront of you.

Once I bought a LAN Switch and I moved it and accidentaly pluged in the wrong power adapter. Well I heard a loud humming noise and then it stoped working. So I returned it to futureshop, said it didnt work and they gave me a new one.

I soaked one in distilled water. As long as it gets completely dry before use, it's okay to get them wet.

Just clean it with alcohol, along with some q-tips and napkins/towels.

Seriously it is not hard at all to open..a small flat head screw driver to break the little pins in the screws and then you can open them easily enough..remember there are 7 screws and the one hidden under the sticker is why i couldnt open mine because i didnt notice there was one there. Take it apart..clean everything on the main board with alcohol and q-tips and wash all the buttons and the covers in a warm soapy water filled bucket for a little while, dry it all out and it is sure to work.

Any updates on this? I'm curious of the Xbox 360 controller's fate.
