E7200 Torture Test Temperatures

Thread Starter
Hi, I've got my e7200 with a p45-ds3l mobo at 3.0ghz OC'd. I ran a torture test for an hour or so with 0 errors, but my max temp reached on realtemp was around 70c. Is this too high? I'm just wondering whats a safe temp to be reaching with a torture test running. I was using the dual core version of prime95 btw to do this torture test, ok thanks.

Oh another thing, my idle temp is 30c. I'm hoping to push it to 3.2Ghz (8x400) but if my temps are too hot i'm not sure if it will handle it. I'm using stock cooling and i'm only using the thermal paste that came with the heatsink/fan. Brand new pc and brand new parts. Any questions just let me know!

Go to User CP up top of the page and fill out "add system" in control panel

70c is too hot. Thats the intel limit and most here will suggest low 60's max. Your on stock cooling I assume??

Check into "Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme" or a "Tuniq Tower" and some "OCZ Freeze" Thremal Paste..

also note that the E7200 has a multi of 9.5 so for 3.2ghz you would only need fsb of (337*8).
