[Y!] Voyager Spacecraft Reveals Solar System Edge - Page 9

It's OK to post science stuff, but for gods sake, please don't link to such crap as yahoo news, at least get it from a reputable site.
there are plenty to choose from:
NASA
ESA
spaceref
space

Only ignorant idiots post space news from news agencies that have no idea what they are writing about. Last time I read yahoo news it was talking like it was drunk, intermixing information while making it sound cool, and with the news article came a gallery. In that frigging gallery were 30 photos, out of all of those ONLY 3 were relevant to that article and the rest were just BS good looking space pictures, that had no place in that gallery!

OK, where's the "flaw" in the article? I'll wait while you try and find one... They merely repeated what was released to the media by NASA. The fact is, the Voyager spacecraft reached the "end" of our solar system, PERIOD. Who cares if I got it from Yahoo? The event STILL happened, and Yahoo merely repeated what NASA said, obviously. Now, move along..

Well it was dumbed down quite a bit, but it was all acceptable.

In this case you are actually safe in your source, as this Yahoo! article is an exact copy of the space.com article, the Yahoo! staff had no hand in writing it. In general though, when a general news media outlet gets their hands on a science story they do tend to butcher it.

How do we know that some people didn't evolve from other sources? How do we know that we even evolved? I've read it all in books, but science is theoretical.
How about trying this on for " size " we did not come from chimps...that was a typo when writing the original code....we came from " chips ".

I am not joking either...anyone wish to check this link out:
Forget about everything that you now think of science and let "true" scientific fact lay the case for evolution unlike the mainstream understanding of what is 'politically correct science'.

DuckieHo pretty much said exactly what I want to say (below). It is a big "what if".
You do realize that has been my point since the start. Nothing I said or even tried to say has nothing to do with fantasy. It has to do with "what if". Thanks for finally seeing the light.

"What if" has been the basic start of all of science, than you try and prove it. If you can it becomes fact, if you can't it doesn't.

Who's to say in 50 or 100+ years a "what if" becomes reality. That "what if" could be anything from faster than light travel to anything else.

The moment human beings say "what if" doesn't exist and that everything established now is a fact that can not be broken is truely ignorant.

I would argue that the mantra of science is "What is" much more than "What if." If you have read any sort of history or philosophy of science (I highly recommend Claude Bernard's An Introduction to the Study of Experimental Medicine, if for no other reason than carnivorous bunnies), you'd see that the basis of science is obviously experimentation, and that experimentation can only succeed if there is unbiased observation. Introducing a "What if" into the scientific process introduces unnecessary bias, either in trying to prove or disprove your "What if" conjecture.

You cannot say that we are wrong because "what if" something happens in the future. It is a horrible argument.

look guys, there is a LOT more out there. trust me, i'm from there. i've kept it a secret for a while now. fact is, I'm from another universe. Surprise.

i would explain, prove it to you. but your simple homosapian minds just wouldn't understand. you will just have to "go with me" on this one, as you Earthlings so very well put.

you have much to learn my young friends.

gtarmanrob is actually my real name. to Earth ears, in your many native tongues, it would sound more similar in pronunciation to... Jeff.
