Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro 7 on HP OEM Board?

Does anyone have any experience putting a cooler like the ACFP 7 on an OEM board? I'm worried that the clip design won't work on a board that uses screws for the cpu cooler. I'm not sure if the hole sizes for mounting the CPU cooler is the same.

Hmm, hard to tell, can you measure out the holes on the motherboard?

Would be easy to measure out the clips on the AC7

I'm doing it for a friend who's pentium d is hitting plus 80c so I can't measure his board right now.
Also I am not taking out that stupid cooler off my board to measure it. It is a downright PAIN to put back on. Just thinking about mounting it for my first build.... :swearing:

So does anyone have experience with such a thing?

Do you know which model so we could take a look? The AC7 uses push pins AFAIK which is the standard for stock intel coolers. So if it has a stock cooler on there already, its almost bound to work.

May I ask why? There won't be any overclocking going on.

I see you beat me to this

I'm pretty sure it used screws for holding the cpu cooler in place, last time I checked.
My Hp Pavillion that I got a year ago did.
