Just started F@H GPU2.. small problem

So I finally came around and installed the GPU2 client for F@H. I also have the 177.35 drivers for my 8800gt... My problem is that whenever I am not using my computer for a second.. i.e when my mouse isnt moving, the protein display goes very slowly. the percentage also goes slow until i move my mouse again...

also is there any other clients i should run? someone was talking about running a cpu one also to speed up the gpu2.

OH and when i turn on my computer will f@h start with it and begin folding?

how much will the gpu2 client slow down my computer in games?

if i exit the f@h thing can i resume my WU or will it start over?

thanks i know i have lots of questions

edit: sry more questions...

it WAS doing the test protein 1 thing for a WU but now its doing something called a p5002_supervil. the test one didnt finish all the way

and also when i move windows around it goes very slowly... and glitches up i dont think this will be alright for games

edit2: i turned down the settings a little bit and its normal speed now.. almost

it still slows down when im not on the f@h window

edit3: is there a way to make it a screensaver? i only saw a how-to guide for macs...

You should close the display window. It takes up GPU cycles which = less PPD

also is there any other clients i should run? someone was talking about running a cpu one also to speed up the gpu2.

You should run the SMP client, found here.

Yes

Some people notice it, but others don't. It is supposed to back down when you require the cycles, but I guess it bugs a bit and decides not to. If you see any performance decrease, just pause the work and resume when you stop gaming.

Yes.

The test protein is...just a test. It runs that while it downloads/uploads/finalizes a WU

See first answer, close the window

Close...

Close...
