My new heatsink is coming in on the 7th, I am looking forward to overclocking my E6600... it runs stock at 2.6 GHz @ 1.184V, what do you think I should up the voltage to?

Also, I am completely unsure as to how to overclock, how do i turn the voltage up?
Is there anything else I need to do other than just upping the voltage?

Not sure what my 3dmark06 score was on my old machine but specs were 2gb ddr400 3.72ghz prescott and a 6600gt. Then I put this sig rig together other week. 3dmark06 score for it bone stock is 13268. I'm thinking this processor is about 13x faster then what I had before. It's always great when you wait forever to upgrade something isn't it?

Do you have the M.I.T. feature in your bios ender475?
If so, that's where you need to go to OC it.
Your safe up to 1.5volts temps allowing.

I got a huge jump in score's from a Saphire 512mb x1800xt to even 1 8800gt doubled in score on 3DMark06, and 3 x as many in 03.
I thought the X1800XT was a brilliant card,Which it is dont get me wrong.
Anyway Enjoy the new card & setup.
My next move is the Q6600 or Q6700 and good motherboard.Not too sure yet though.
X1800XT 512MB 8800GT [G92] 512MB
2001se= 23,226 = 46,484
2003= 17,088 = 54,442
2005= 8807 = 17,776
2006= 4119 = 12,604
Aquamark v3 = 69,081 = 134,589
Just for those out there who want a little taste of what 1 88ooGT is capable off,Compared to the 1800 & 1900 Series of great cards.

Awesome. Those 4850's are looking better and better all the time. You should be able to get your E6600 up to 3.4GHz easily though. I've got mine running at 3.4GHz with only 1.4v.
