Nobody wants to listen to the assumptions of someone with no experience on a subject.

I, like a lot of people, do enjoy drinking. And yes, I do it for the purpose of getting drunk. Yes, I still think. The, "When you're high or drunk you don't think" comment is complete BS. I have never done anything overly stupid while drunk, which doesn't make sense since according to you I should have been incapable of using any form of logical reasoning while doing so.

But we all thank you for the lecture mommy
You're a moron right? Assuming makes an ass out of everyone, doesn't it? On another note, you don't need to be the one drunk/high to feel the effects of someones lack of judgment. Nobody wants to listen to a fool.

You drink to get drunk? Yet you claim to think? God, you're like all the moronic douches I had to sit in class with when I went to high school. Well, as long as you sit an your computer and away from everyone else, I'm cool with that. "I have never done anything overly stupid while drunk . . ." So you still have done things stupid while drunk? I applaud you! Seriously, our gene pool needs to be weeded out. I offend you because I think that getting drunk, never said drinking, is stupid?

Eh I'll probably forget about this post in the morning so I wont be able to read any ignorant response you post. I'm kinda disappointed to tell ya the truth.

They probably don't even own a copy of mortal kombat though, lol.

There was a 24 year old man who graduated from my old school, and when he was about to graduate from college, he set up a dinner with his parents and little brother, and then had his friend wait at the house and act like a burglar. He told his friend to shoot his family, and his friend shot and killed his mother and brother and shot him but didnt kill him, and didn't kill his father. He was hoping to get his father's money, but he didn't. Instead, he's on death row, and his father has forgiven him and talks to him every day. He deserves the sentence that he got, and so does the 17 year old boy.
One of my friends lives two houses down from where they used to live when that happened. It's a shame what some people will do for money.

And you notice they said "acting out" mortal kombat, not "mortal kombat made them do it". The difference is that the game had NOTHING to do with it. They didn't even say it influenced them. It's just an excuse to add videogames into the equation. They said the moves were something like mortal kombat style moves so BAM add videogame and INSTANT headline! Pretty sad.

The second saddest part about this story is that it will probably work. The saddest part is that there is a seven year old girl that won't see eight because her older sister helped beat her to death.

I'll say it again - death sentences should be handled this way: Drive inmate to cemetery, pull the black bag off of their head and let them say goodbye to their loved ones, position them in front of the already dug grave, shoot them in the brainstem with a frangible .45 ACP round and dump the body in the hole, cover with dirt, and garnish with a small concrete marker with their name lifespan, and crime they were executed for. Start doing this for both murder categories, rape & child molestation, Enron style white collar crime, third strike offenders, a few other serious felonies, and watch the crime stats plummet. Additionally apply this standard to all politicians convicted of any felony committed while in office and and we might even start to make a dent in political corruption.

Drinking to get drunk makes you nothing more than a complete loser with nothing better to do.

I don't even want to read your opinion.

This is the problem with Games and Hollywood.

They are unrealistic. I say that because in all Violent hollywood movies you will see someone getting the beating of there life....yet they seem uninjured as they get up and shoot the other guy kind of thing.

Games are no different...Tekken and Mortal Kombat. You kick the crap out of eachother and at the end of the day you have no real feeling about it and after you can just pick the same character again as if nothing happend lol. Not a great example I know.

These kind of things IMO influences the thought process. I think people get sucked into the whole Hollywood/Game FAKENESS and some people then just dont see the implications of there actions and for some reason they cannot seem to calculate that beating the crap out of someone in real life is life threatening. Do you wonder why ? no you shouldnt because in moves your mostly invincible and this seems to rub off on childeren who either dont no anybetter or are prats...or simply have poor parents.

How a dude of 17 years of age did this thinking that it was ok is nuts.

Im not saying BAN games and Films. However I think some people need to be educated that Movies and Games are all in all FICTIONAL.
