P5B Deluxe RAID Question !

Thread Starter
Hey guys'
I got a P5B Deluxe, and i wanna get a fresh new format
Since im using a RAID0 Setup, i do need a floppy to get the raid drivers " ready " to get the install running..

The question i'm asking myself, can i do it on a USB Key, instead of a floppy, will it still work =O?

I believe you can, if you enable "boot from usb(or removeable device... or something like that)"

Give that a shot

For a fresh reinstall of XP you'll need the drivers on a floppy. I couldn't use a USB pen, but i could use a USB powered external floppy drive

Although, i didn't have the latest BIOS at that point. If it's Vista, you don't need RAID drivers. Remember to install Intel Matrix Storage Manager.

Just use Vista. It's changed a lot with SP1. And, you don't have silly issues. Took me a week to get it to read the drivers off a floppy, drove me mad.

i'd need 2 more GB of ram to run Vista with no problems
